About Me

I am currently in my 3rd year studying Interior Architecture in Cork Institute of Technology.

As part of my course I have gained and perfected very valuable skills necessary for working in an Architectural practice. I'm very dedicated and hard working as I'm aware that meeting deadlines for projects and clients is an essential part of working in the design world. Last summer I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work in an architectural practice, Wilson Architecture, Cork. It broadened my outlook of the architectural world and allowed me to watch, work and enjoy the environment in a successful practice.  The skills which I confidently developed are:

Hand Sketching

Autocad

3D Studio Max

Sketch Up

Adobe Photoshop
Presentation
Model making
Detailing

In the second semester of 3rd year, as we all gathered and got used to our new home in Tyco, now renamed as the 'Architectural Factory', a new project was introduced by all lectures, 'The Vertical Project. The sole purpose of this project was to combine the Interior Architects and Architectural Technologists to give us a better understanding of what its like working in a practice and meeting a strict deadline. At the end of a tough but enjoyable week, five of the best projects/groups were chosen by the team of lectures and the president of C.I.T. I was lucky enough to be part of one of those winning groups and received a Certificate from the president of C.I.T for the time, hard work and dedication we put into our project and design.
